Days of Wonder has announced the October release of the Ticket to Ride Swiss Map Expansion (MSRP $25) for the Ticket to Ride board game.  The Swiss Map Expansion, which requires an original copy of Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride Europe to play, provides a new board map that was previously only available in the Ticket to Ride Computer Game.

The Swiss Map Expansion was designed for 2-3 players, ages 8 and up and requires 30-45 minutes to play.  The 46 'Destination Tickets' include new city-to-country and country-to-country routes in addition to the normal city-to-city tickets.  Alan R. Moon, who designed the Ticket to Ride board game, has declared that the Swiss Map is his personal favorite of all the Ticket to Ride Maps.
