Paramount has hired Stuart Beattie to write the script for the now fast-tracked G.I. Joe movie (see 'G.I. Joe Heads for Big Screen'). Beattie wrote the script for the 30 Days of Night film, which opens in October (see 'Best in Shows 2007, Part 2'), as well as Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Collateral.
