The Kids' WB, Sony Pictures Television, and Marvel Entertainment are planning a major marketing campaign to bolster the spring 2008 debut of the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon series on the Kids' WB Saturday morning cartoon block.  In early 2008 Sony and the Kids' WB will launch an in-school Milk Media Campaign in 85% of all U.S. schools that will involve branding on nearly 40 million milk cartoons as well as free posters and book covers that will be distributed in the top 8-10 markets.

In addition the Kids' WB has been running teasers for the new Spider-Man series, and will keep airing the promos until the new Spidey series debuts next spring.  The Kids' WB will also create an online campaign accessible at its Website and a trailer for the new series has been included on all the Sony Home Entertainment Spider-Man 3 DVDs sold through Wal-Mart.

Even though not a single episode of the Spectacular Spider-Man has aired yet, Marvel and Sony have ordered the production of 13 additional episodes of the series for a total of 26 (see 'More 'Spectacular Spider-Man' Cartoons').
