Spider-Man Merchandising L.P., the limited partnership between Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Marvel Entertainment, announced a second round of licensing agreements based on the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, which is slated to debut on the Kids' WB Saturday morning block on March 1st, 2008.  Judging from the number of licenses already issued (see 'Spectacular Spider-Man Licensing Salvo'), expectations are very high for this series, which starts out with far more licensing activity than most cartoon series ever achieve.  Sony and Marvel were so happy with the first 13 episodes of the series that they ordered 13 more, even though the show is yet to air (see 'More Spectacular Spider-Man Cartoons')

New licenses for Spectacular Spider-Man announced this week include Mad Engine (t-shirts), Mega Brands (toys), Hallmark (cards), AME (sleepwear), and KIDdesigns (electronics).
