Chow Yun Fat has joined the cast of Fox's live action Dragonball in the key role of Master Roshi, the supercentenarian 'turtle hermit' who, in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball and DBZ mangas acts as the mentor to Goku.  Master Roshi, who wears a turtle shell on his back, functions both as the 'wise old man' and the 'dirty old man' in Toriyama's martial arts saga.  He is a ferocious warrior as well as the focus of much of the series' slapstick humor.  It should be interesting to see how much of the lecherous side of Master Roshi's character makes it to the big screen.

Chow joins a cast that includes Justin Chatwin (Goku), James Marsters (Piccolo), and Emmy Rossum (Bulma) (see 'Rossum is Bulma').
