'Conan' Film Gets Distributor

And Writers

Lionsgate has agreed to distribute the upcoming Conan film (see 'Millenium Nabs Conan') in North America, according to Variety.   Writers have also been assigned.  Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, who previously collaborated on the script for Sahara and on an early draft of Cowboys and Aliens (see 'Writers Announced for Cowboys and Aliens').

The first Conan film is scheduled to start shooting later this year, although the writers strike may delay production.
