Continental Entertainment Capital is partnering with funds managed by Qualia Capital to provide partial production and distribution financing for the Spirit film, according to Hollywood Reporter.  The film is now in postproduction, according to the report, which means that is has apparently completed shooting (casting announcements were still being made in September, see 'Sarah Paulson Joins the Spirit Cast'). 

The film is due for U.S. (and UK) release on January 16th, 2009.
