4Kids released its Q4 and 2007 full year results on Monday, and there were losses in both periods.  The Q4 loss was $16.8 million, vs. a $2.3 million loss in the year ago period.  For the full year, 4Kids' loss was $23.3 million vs. a loss of $1 million in 2006.  Sales dropped from $71.8 million in 2006 to $55.6 million in 2007.

A large portion, $11.9 million, of the 2007 loss was a decrease in its deferred tax asset.  4Kids also reported that $7.8 million of its 2007 loss was attributable to launch costs of the Chaotic TCG and Chaotic Website subsidiaries.

Chairman Al Kahn pointed to the Chaotic launch as a positive for 2008 and beyond.  The TCG is now in over 15,000 outlets, according to Kahn, and reorders are being received from "many of these retailers."  TV ratings for the Chaotic animated show are also improving, with Chaotic being the top Saturday morning show on broadcast TV for boys 6-11 in two of the last three weeks.
