'Legion of 5' to Debut in CGI Movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter Stan Lee’s Pow! Entertainment is working with Brighton Partners and Rainmaker Entertainment to launch a new superhero property, Legion of 5, with a series of  feature-length CGI movies.  Although no comic spin-offs were mentioned, plans call for a cross-platform approach that will include video games, online and mobile releases, as well as merchandising.

Rainmaker, a Vancouver-based animation company, will create the character designs and produce the CGI features.  Rainmaker CEO Warren Franklin indicated that the three partners were ponying up $24 million to get the franchise started.  Formerly known as Mainframe Entertainment, Rainmaker is currently engaged in turning the first ever CGI animated TV series ReBoot into a trilogy of CGI films.
