Spawn creator Todd McFarlane will return to plotting and laying out the Spawn comic series, and Image co-founder Whilce Portacio will provide the art, beginning with issue #185.  Brian Holguin will co-write. 

The most recent issue of the Spawn series, #177, which shipped in April, sold around 20,500 to comic stores, down from 24,500 a year ago (see “Top 300 Comics—April 2008”).

McFarlane and Portacio will be at Wizard World Chicago to promote.
