Privateer Press has announced a launch kit for its upcoming collectible miniatures game, Monsterpocalypse (see “Kaiju CMG from Privateer”).  It contains product and prize support for up to three events: 12 Starter Sets, 36 Unit Boosters, 12 Monster Boosters, and six limited-edition Mega forms of monsters. The kit is available from distributors based on an MSRP of $923.40.

Privateer will offer returnability on unused portions of the launch kit as credit toward future non-Monsterpocalypse purchases.  This will likely be an attractive offer to retailers who are unsure about bringing in a new CMG (especially at such an expense), though the credit is less useful if the store does not already carry Privateer's other lines.
