'Batman: Gotham Knight' Is #1

'Batman Begins' #2

DVD sales are leading into the opening of The Dark Knight in theaters Friday according to script, with VideoScan rankings for the week ending July 13th putting Batman: Gotham Knight, the new anime feature (see “Batman: Gotham Knight DVD”), #1 and the most recent theatrical release, Batman Begins, #2 as reported by Home Media. 

The Batman DVDs also sat atop the Blu-ray sales charts, though in reverse order (Batman Begins at #1 and Gotham Knight at #2).  But the week covered by the reports was a short week for Batman: Gotham Knight, which dropped July 8th, so with the benefit of a full week it could have topped the Blu-Ray charts as well.
