The Right Stuf  anime Website is listing the first two releases of Sojitz-licensed anime titles from FUNimation, Devil May Cry and Kanon.  The Sojitz titles that FUNimation acquired had previously been released by ADV (see “FUNimation Snags Sojitz Titles”).  On October 7th FUNimation is releasing Volumes 1, 2, & 3 of the videogame-based Devil May Cry anime.  The Devil May Cry volumes will carry the same $26.98 MSRP that ADV had used.  ADV had previously released the first two volumes of the Devil May Cry series, which was the most popular of the titles that ADV had licensed from Sojitz.

On October 14th FUNimation has scheduled the release of Kanon Vol. 6, which it lists at $29.98, the same suggested retail price that ADV had used for the five volumes of the 24-episode series that it had previously released.  Based on a popular adult visual novel series developed by Key, the 2006-2007 Kanon anime was produced by Kyoto Animation (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya).
