Astro Boy on 3000 Screens

Imagi Studios’ Astro Boy CGI feature will hit 3,000 North American screens on October 23, 2009, distributed by Summit Entertainment (see “Summit to Distribute New Astro Boy”).  According to the joint announcement from Summit and Imagi, deals promoting the movie in the QSR toys, games, books, and other categories will be announced soon.  International release dates have not yet been announced. 

 

Three thousand screens will be enough to stimulate sales not only of new, movie-licensed products but also of the classic manga (Dark Horse) and anime (Right Stuf).
