Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary are no longer working on Black Hole, the new movie based on Charles Burns’ graphic novel, according to MTV’s Splash Page.  Gaiman and Avary had been working on a script after coming off Beowulf together (see “Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary Adapting Black Hole”).

David Fincher had been added as a director this year (see “David Fincher to Direct Black Hole”), but his process for getting to a final script apparently involved too much reworking for Gaiman and Avary, who delivered their final draft of their script and “stood aside.”
