Upper Deck has unveiled an extensive schedule of events and organized play supporting its World of Warcraft Miniatures Game.  First up (after the pre-release demos, see “Wow Minis Demos”) are Sealed Launch Events, to be held November 15-16th in hobby stores.  Prizes will include one limited edition WoW Minis map per Event, plus Monster faction UBases and dice that won’t be released until December 9th.

In January, stores will be able to host weekly play at Battlegrounds events, which will feature scenarios, and prizes including minis and foil Action Bar cards from an upcoming set.

Road to Worlds refers to events that eventually allow players to qualify for national or continental championships (like the one at Gen Con 2009), or the world championships next October.

Upper Deck has been hosting Darkmoon Faire events since last year.  These events have involved WoW CCG gameplay, and other World of Warcraft activities, including MMORPG play (see “Interview with Dan Bojanowski”).  Beginning in 2009, they will also include WoW Minis play.

Season 1 Realm Championships, open events in around 20 locations around the world, will be held May 16th-17th, 2009.
