ADV to Distribute Princess Resurrection Anime

Beginning in March

ADV will distribute the goth horror Princess Resurrection anime in North America, according to Anime News Network.  Similar to its deals for Clannad and Indian Summer (see “Clannad Leads ADV Announcements”), ADV will distribute the title for Sentai Filmworks; Amusement Park Media will handle the localization. 

ADV’s deal includes 26 episodes including two side story episodes, one of which was DVD-only in Japan.  They’ll be released in six volumes, beginning on March 17, 2009.  ADV will also offer the series on its Anime Network VOD service, as well as streaming a few English language episodes online. 

Del Rey Manga has North American rights to the Kodansha Princess Resurrection manga (see “Del Rey Nabs Princess Resurrection”), on which the anime is based.
