These charts are based on interviews with retailers and distributors, information provided by Nielsen BookScan (in the form of monthly Top 20 lists (for example see “Bookscan’s Top 20 Graphic Novels for August 2008) of graphic novels sold in bookstores, and ICv2’s own analysis of information provided by Diamond Comic Distributors on graphic novel sales in comic stores.
