Konami and Upper Deck are launching a new Yu-Gi-Oh! organized play program, the Dragon Duel League, behind the new Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TV show and licensing stream.  The new program offers a variety of events for players of varying skill levels, tailored to kids 12 and under.

Dragon Duel Challenges, for beginners, will feature only three rounds and will take three hours or less.  Dragon Duel Series events will feature more rounds, with a winner from each event crowned a Dragon Duel Champion.  The program will also allow players to work their way up to Dragon Duel Regional Qualifiers and the Dragon Duel National Championship, which will have the same prizes as the existing National Championship for players 13 and older.

The first Dragon Duel event will be held at the Shonen Jump Championship in Chicago, on November 15-16.
