Bucephalus Games, which recently shipped its first wave of games (see “Suicide Bomber Held at Customs”), correctly predicted the election results months ago when it chose Barack Obama for the “Presidential Co-Pilot” promo tile for its game Toboggans of Doom.  Bucephalus VP Sales and Marketing Anthony Gallela explained the choice.  “We wanted to have an election-themed tile so we chose 'Presidential Co-Pilot as one of the promo tiles," he said.  "It was too soon to know who was going to be president, so we chose the candidate that we thought would win.  We were right!”

The promo tile, one of three made available to retailers with each order of the game, is an upgrade tile for the player’s toboggan.  Upgrade tiles are used to trick out the player’s toboggan before taking runs down the mountain, a route made hazardous by obstacle tiles such as snowmen with chainsaws, shark attacks, volcanic fissures, and more.  Other upgrades include quake rockets, chopper blades, portable holes, etc.  The other two promo tiles are both obstacle tiles:  “Distracting Assistant” (also from Bucephalus’ Suicide Bomber game) and Psychic Rat (also from Mad Scientists:  Lab Rats).
