Stan Lee is exec producing an hourlong series featuring a gay superhero for Showtime, according to Variety.  The series will be based on the book Hero, by Perry Moore, who is also writing the show and exec producing.  

The book tells the story of the teenage son of a former superhero whose superpowers and identity is still developing.
