'GearHead' Goes to Valhalla

Movie rights for Arcana Comics’s GearHead have been acquired by Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Motion Pictures, Arcana announced.  Rights were previously held by Darius Films (see “Gearhead Optioned”). 

Hurd has a long success record with action and comic-based films, with a producer or exec producer credit on all three Terminator movies, Aliens, Punisher, Hulk, Incredible Hulk, and the upcoming Punisher:  War Zone.   “It’s a terrific, character-driven story set in a unique and compelling world,” Hurd said of the property.

GearHead, by Dennis Hopeless and Kevin Mellon, is currently available in trade paperback.
