F&W Publications, which owns Scrye, GamingReport, and the Hawaii Trade Conference, among other related businesses, is not involved with the attempt to acquire Gen Con by the GenCon Acquisition Group, according to an F&W spokesperson.  F&W has been represented in the past by a law firm that’s representing the GAG, which had led some to speculate that it was involved in the acquisition offer (see “Eleventh Hour Offer for GenCon”).  "F&W is not involved in the acquisition of Gen Con in any way," the spokesperson said.

With F&W and GAMA (see “GAMA Not Behind Gen Con Bid”) eliminated as potential acquirers, the mystery as to who’s behind the offer to acquire Gen Con (which the show’s management has rejected, see “Gen Con’s Adrian Swartout on New Offer”) grows.  More soon.
