McFarlane Toys layoffs were confirmed by owner Todd McFarlane on the company’s boards Tuesday.  “Recently, my company was forced to reduce some of our workforce,” the post said.  The post attributed the cuts to “the same business pain” felt by “many hundreds and perhaps thousands of companies.” 

McFarlane assured the company’s fans that the company was not threatened.  “Does this mean that my company is on the verge of going out of business?  No,” the post said.  “It simply means that some corrections were needed within my company.”
