Victor Gorelick and Fred Mausser will serve as co-presidents of Archie Comic Publications, Inc., the company announced on Friday.  Mausser, who’s run circulation for Archie for years, is being promoted to Co-President/Director of Circulation.  Gorelick is being promoted to Co-President/Editor-in-Chief, and Michael Pellerito to VP-Managing Editor.  Gorelick was promoted to EIC and Pellerito to Managing Editor late last year (see “Gorelick Named Archie EIC”). 

The new management team talked about growing Archie’s brands.  “The new management team will review all areas of the company’s properties and operations in order to broaden the legacy of Archie Comics as a leader in the field of humor and family friendly entertainment,” the statement said.

The new management appointments  were made in the wake of the death of CEO Michael Silberkleit last August (see “Michael Silberkleit Dies at 76”).

The new management team thanked the Estates of Richard Goldwater and Michael Silberkleit for their appointments.
