A fifth Terminator film will be directed by McG, according to Variety, and released in 2011.  McG’s Terminator Salvation will open next summer (see “Terminator IV Set for Memorial Day Bow”).  Christian Bale will star (he signed for three movies, beginning with Terminator Salvation. 

Positive early response to Terminator Salvation convinced the producers to go ahead with the next film before the fourth opened. 

A videogame created by Halcyon Company (which is producing the films) will be released day and date with Terminator Salvation.
