Huntik:  Secrets and Seekers, which premiered on January 3rd on CW4Kids (see “CW4Kids Unveils New Lineup”), came in as the #1 show for boys 9-14 among Saturday morning animated shows in its premiere weekend.  The show was also tied for first among boys 12-17 and came in second for boys 6-11. 

Upper Deck has a lot riding on Huntik.  Its Huntik:  Secrets and Seekers TCG launches February 17th, and the company is also the master toy licensee.  Meanwhile Yu Gi Oh!, its #1 TCG brand (Upper Deck is the distributor), is the subject of a bitter dispute with property owner Konami Digital Entertainment (see “Konami Responds on YGO TCG”).
