Goodman Games will publish Level Up, a new 4th Edition magazine, with the first issue arriving in stores in April. Touted as “the official 4E RPG magazine,” Level Up will include character options, new monsters, adventures, and gameplay advice.  Each 32-page issue will be available in retail stores for an MSRP of $1.99 or online as a PDF for $4 per issue and will be carried by all current distributors of Goodman Games products.

“At first, this will be a quarterly release, with a monthly schedule being one of the goals,” said Goodman Games president Joseph Goodman. He also promised a pre-order promotion coinciding with Worldwide D&D Game Day on March 21, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Level Up will be the closest the gaming world has had to an “official” print magazine with D&D content since Paizo Publishing ceased publication of Dragon and Dungeon in 2007 (see “Dragon and Dungeon Magazines to End”).
