Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new promotion to allow retailers to begin offering its Universal Fighting System CCG at no risk: it will ship four displays of free product, along with other event support, to any retailers that agree to run UFS events on two weekends in late March. FFG’s UFS incorporates 156 characters from Street Fighter, Soul Calibur 3, Darkstalkers, King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Tekken 6, and Soul Calibur 4.
The two events are a sealed deck tournament the weekend of March 20-22, and a constructed deck tournament the weekend of March 27-29.
Each participating retailer will receive:
1 UFS SNK: Cutting Edge Starter Display
1 UFS SNK: Cutting Edge Booster Display
1 UFS Soul Calibur 3 Payment
8 UFS Promo Prize Packs
1 UFS Poster to promote events
This is enough product to support the two events for up to sixteen players. Any product left over is for the retailer to sell.
FFG will also promote all participating retailers on its Website.
UFS was kickstarted early on by Sabertooth Games with a returnable product promotion. FFG (which acquired the game) now seeks to expand the penetration of the game by making it even easier for retailers to begin offering the game.
