More Freelancers

Published: 02/26/2009, Last Updated: 02/27/2009 02:40am

Wizard Entertainment has laid off seven employees from its editorial and convention divisions today, according to Wizard EIC Scott Gramling.  “The majority were among the Wizard editorial team,” Gramling said, “a decision that was made in an effort to expand our base of freelance contributors.”

Wizard also shook up its convention staff.  Benji DeJohn will move from a position as Wizard’s West Coast Sales Representative to take over management of both the Chicago and Philadelphia conventions.  Wizard recently postponed its LA show and canceled its Texas show (see “Wizard World LA Canceled”), leaving Philadelphia and Chicago as the two remaining Wizard events.
