Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that starting on March 20th Champion Pack 8 will be available at tournament hobby stores for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG prize support.  The Champion Pack 8 features tournament-tested cards, previously hard-to-earn promotional cards, and a never-before-seen card to round out the set.  Hobby stores interested in hosting Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG events should contact Konami customer support.

The Champion Pack 8 will only be available at official KDE tournament stores. The latest Champion Pack includes the ultra-rare “Gravity Behemoth,” a 2300 ATK Beast-Type Effect Monster that has the power to destroy Field Spell cards at will.  Cards brought back for the Champion Pack 8 include “Prohibition,” a super rare card from the 2002 release Pharaoh’s Servant, and “Magician’s Valkyria,” which was only available in Shonen Jump magazine.  The Super Rare foil cards included in the Champion Pack 8  include “Lumina Lightsworn Summoner,” which will bring Lightsworn players one step closer to having an all-foil deck.

Konami is also developing its own worldwide player rating system, which will be called “COSSY” (Konami Card Game Official Tournament Support System) that will launch in April.

Each Champion Pack 8 pack contains 3 cards.  The series includes 9 common cards (2:1), six rare cards (1:1), four super rare cards (1:12), and one ultra rare card (1:48).
