Nearly three years after almost going under following an embezzlement scandal (see “Palladium Goes Public with ‘Crisis of Treachery’”), Palladium Books is firmly back on its feet and has a long list of RPG releases planned for the first part of 2009. Primary among the company’s releases are the latest in the series of Dimension Books, exploring alternate dimensions in the Rifts Megaverse, and the Robotech: Masters Saga sourcebook.

Rifts Dimension Book 11: Dyval, Hell Unleashed ships March 27 and explores an alternate dimension of Hell, complete with its own devilish monsters, minions, and society.  Dimension Book 12: Dimensional Outbreak hits stores in May and takes on the Minion War as is expands into Phase World, the city of Center, and the Three Galaxies.  Each book retails for $24.95 and includes detailed maps, new gear, and creature and character descriptions over approximately 200 pages.  In addition, the Rifts Adventure Sourcebook: The Shemarrian Nation ships April 17 and details the history and culture of these esoteric femme fatales.  The 96-page book has a $16.95 MSRP.

Robotech: The Masters Saga Sourcebook ships March 16 and thrusts characters into the midst of the Second Robotech War.  As members of the Army of the Southern Cross, players can do battle with enemy forces in or out of mechas and other combat vehicles virtually anywhere across planet Earth.  The 256-page sourcebook comes in a 5” by 7.5” “manga-sized” format, with an MSRP of $16.95.

Also on the schedule from Palladium for 2009 are Dead Reign: Civilization Gone (April/May, about $15), exploring the “zombie apocalypse” scenario; and a number of books scheduled for a summer release: Mysteries of Magic for Palladium Fantasy RPG, Rifts: Heroes of the Megaverse, Armageddon Unlimited for Heroes Unlmited, and Warpath: Urban Jungle RPG, along with other, unnamed sourcebooks for Dead Reign and Rifts.  Finally, issue #46 of Palladium's multi-title magazine The Rifter ships April 24.
