Universal and Imagine Entertainment have acquired the film rights to The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft, a four-shot Image comic miniseries that launches April 8th, as a potential directing vehicle for Ron Howard.  The story mixes elements of Lovecraft’s life with horror elements, as the young writer finds a book that puts a curse on him and looses evil on the world.

The comic is created by commercial directors Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz, written by Carter, with pencils and inks by Tony Salmons and colors by Adam Byrne.
