We caught up with Gameboard Senior Partner Jim Fetty to get an update on Gameboard's plans to open an Orlando warehouse May 1 (see 'Gameboard Distributors Expands to Orlando').  He told us that the opening had been delayed because the manager that had been slated to run the location had pulled out, leaving the company looking for a replacement.  Fetty said that he hoped that the management situation would be resolved and the warehouse would be open in another 30 days.

We also asked Fetty about rumors floating around Orlando that Gameboard had purchased an Orlando retailer.  Fetty said the company had no ownership connection to any Orlando retailer, and speculated that the rumors had been started by a test being run with several stores.   'We're experimenting with an integrated p.o.s. system,' Fetty said, explaining that the retailers were testing a system that tracks sales and allows for reorder  communication with Gameboard.
