WizKids has announced its plans for its new DC HeroClix game, which is due in September.  Like the Marvel HeroClix:  Infinity Challenge game (see 'Marvel HeroClix:  Infinity Challenge'), DC HeroClix:  Hypertime will ship in three skus:  Starters, Boosters, and a Premier Edition all-in-one game.

Starters will have eight randomly inserted figures, rules, map, scenario cards, special ability cards, tokens, and dice.  Boosters will each contain four randomly assorted figures.  And the DC HeroClix Premier Edition will feature everything two players would need to play a game, including the figures of top ten favorite DC characters, a rulebook, maps, dice, and so on.  The Premier Edition is for parents or others that won't necessarily understand the starters/boosters concept and just want to get everything they need in one box.

We also checked in on how the shipping of the Marvel HeroClix game has been going.  The product was over-subscribed and shipped in waves beginning over a month ago (see 'Marvel HeroClix Shipping in Waves').  According to WizKids Ad and PR Manager Jon Leitheusser, the company has almost caught up with shipping domestic orders, although international orders still have substantial portions unfilled.  Domestic orders are expected to be caught up within the next one-two weeks.
