WotC Introduces 'Magic: Planechase'In SeptemberPublished: 05/13/2009 12:42am Wizards of the Coast will launch Planechase, a new multiplayer casual game format for Magic: The Gathering, on September 4th. Four Planechase Game Packs ($19.99) will be released on that date: Elemental Thunder, Metallic Dreams, Strike Force, and Zombie Empire.
Each 60-card deck will include eight rares, and will be made up of cards from throughout Magic’s history, including a preview card from Zendikar (see “WotC Reveals October’s Large 'Magic' Set”). Each of the cards in the 60-card deck will be black-bordered and legal for any tournaments where the original printings are still legal.
Release events will be held September 4-6. |
