Sales at Quebecor World, the largest comic and graphic novel printer in North America, dropped 25% in the first quarter of 2009 due to the recession.  The company lost $125.9 million in the quarter, an improvement from the $190 million loss in the year ago period.  The company’s operating loss was $30.1 million; EBITDA was $35.6 million, down from $74.2 million in Q1 2008.   The company says its EBITDA earnings are “in line with management’s expectations.”
