The much-anticipated Spider-Man animated series from MTV has been delayed from this fall until early 2003.  Produced by Mainframe Entertainment in Vancouver, the new Spider-Man series involves some serious talent including writer Brian Michael Bendis, who is a co-Executive Producer on the show.  Neil Patrick Harris (forever Doogie Howser) will voice the Peter Parker role while Lisa Loeb is set for Mary Jane.  The Spider-Man MTV show was originally set to debut this fall (see 'MTV Orders Spider-Man Series').

While a fall debut for the series would be an ideal way to keep Spider-Man, whose popularity is currently at its peak, in full public view, a delay to early 2003 may not hurt too much, particularly if the MTV version of Spider-Man is half as strong as the big screen version created by Sam Raimi and Tobey McGuire.
