In October Privateer Press is releasing Monsterpocalypse Series 4: Monsterpocalypse Now, a new expansion that kicks off the second block of the Monsterapocalypse Collectible Miniatures Game.  Monsterpocalypse Now will introduce 6 new factions to the Monsterpocalypse universe and, thanks to its Starter Sets, it provides a great "jumping on" point for new players.

Monsterpocalypse Now uses the same distribution pattern as Series 1: Rise in order to support the introduction of the new factions. This means Monsterpocalypse Now contains 12 new monsters and their corresponding hyper forms (2 monsters per faction), 36 new units (12 rare, 10 uncommon, and 14 common), and 9 new buildings. In total Monsterpocalypse Series 4: Monsterpocalypse Now offers 69 different unique figures made of up 45 different sculpts with variant paint jobs to collect.

While Monsterpocalypse Series 2 and Series 3 were created to support Series 1, Monsterpocalypse Series 4 is the first series since the game’s launch crafted specifically as an entry point for new players and includes Starter Sets (MSRP $25.99) with everything players need to get in the game.  Starters contain 1 random monster and its corresponding hyper form, 2 preset buildings, and 4 preset units, plus a double-sized map, a rulebook, a reference sheet, and a quick start game intro.

In addition to the Starter Sets, the Monsterpocalpse Now release will also include Monster Boosters (MSRP $13.99), which contain 1 random monster alpha form and its corresponding hyper form, and Monsterpocalypse Now Unit Boosters (MSRP $13.99), which contain 4 random units and 1 random building.

Monsterpocalypse Now figures are fully compatible with figures from all the other series, and with the agenda wheel, units and monsters from different factions can benefit from each others abilities, which allows players to mix figures from different series to create a potent fighting force.

Brick-and-mortar retailers will be able to purchase the Series 4: Monsterpocalpse Now Mega Kit ($335.76), which includes a case of Monster Boosters and a case of Unit Boosters along with a unique promotional figure, a Mega King Kondo.  By purchasing the kit retailers understand that the Mega King Kondo figure is to be given to players purchasing 1 case of Monster Boosters and 1 case of Unit Boosters in a single transaction.

Retailers who have six customers who are serious about growing their Monsterpocalpse collections can order the Monsterpocalpse Now Mondo Kondo Launch Kit ($2,066.54), which includes six cases of Monster Boosters, six case of Unit Boosters and six Mega King Kondo figures (to be given to players who purchase a case of Monster Boosters and a case of Unit Boosters), plus two “Quantum King Kondo” figures, which Privateer Press suggests that retailers use to jump start their Monsterpocalypse Series 4 organized play programs by giving one figure to the winner of the tournament and one to the tournament organizer.  Both of the retailer kit offers are available only until supplies run out.
