Alderac Entertainment Group and Dust Games will team up to release two new games this fall. The offerings include a pulp board game of archaeological exploration and a strategy card game set in a mythical city.

In The Adventurers and the Temple of Chac board game, players wend and weave their way through the ancient temple of the Mayan rain god, dodging numerous traps and pitfalls in search of priceless relics. Six pre-painted 25mm miniatures represent the archaeologists exploring the booby-trapped ruins, which include a classic “giant boulder” trap and a room of moving walls. Limited quantities of The Adventurers will be offered for sale at Gen Con Indy, starting on Saturday at 11 a.m. The game will be available in retail stores worldwide in October with an MSRP of $49.95.

Another Alderac/Dust collaboration releasing in October is Arcana, a card game of intrigue and politics for two to four players. Set in the magical city of Cadwallon, Arcana uses a semi-customization mechanic, in that won “stakes,” each with their own strengths, are later reshuffled into a player’s deck, allowing a player to tool and re-tool his strategy as the game goes on. Players win stakes and complete objectives to take control of Cadwallon and win the game.
