Superstar anime director Hayao Miyazaki will appear at San Diego Comic-Con International, his first appearance at the show, according to the Los Angeles Times.  He’ll screen clips from his new film, Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea, which is releasing in the States in August (see “Miyazaki’s Ponyo Gets a Date”). 

The film was screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival yesterday.
