At the San Diego Comic-Con Dark Horse Comics announced that The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service and the MPD Psycho manga series were both in development as potential live action movies at Universal.  Dark Horse publishes both manga series here in the U.S., and if either were made into a movie, it would certainly help boost the sales of these properties, both of which have considerable “cult hit” potential given the right sort of movie adaptation.

In other Dark Horse manga news, Director of Public Relations Jeremy Atkins told ICv2 that, in honor of Clamp’s 20th Anniversary, Dark Horse was planning to publish massive omnibus editions covering 3-4 volumes each of three classic Clamp series, Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth and Card Captor Sakura, all of which were originally published by Tokyopop.  In May Dark Horse released a one-volume omnibus edition of Clamp’s Clover, which is the template for these omnibus editions, though longer series will require more than one volume.
