Taiwanese singer-actor Jay Chou will play Kato in the upcoming Green Hornet film.  He replaces Stephen Chow, who departed the production last month (see “Kato Leaves Green Hornet”).  The film is set for release next summer. 

One of Chou’s first film roles was in Initial D (see “Initial D Opens Big in Asia”), based on the street-racing manga.
