IDW will co-publish Mercy Thompson:  Moon Called, a comic miniseries and graphic novel based on the first book in Patricia Briggs’ bestselling series of novels, with Dabel Brothers.  The four-issue miniseries will launch in February, and the graphic novel will ship in August.  Mercy Thompson:  Moon Called will be written by Derek Ruiz with art by Clint Hilinski.

The Dabels have a wide-ranging relationship with Briggs, which began with Mercy Thompson:  Homecoming, a miniseries/graphic novel project written by Briggs that serves as a prequel to the novel series (see “Dabel Bros. Sign Patricia Briggs”).   The hardcover graphic novel version, published by Del Rey, was the #6 graphic novel in bookstores in September, according to Nielsen Bookscan rankings (see “Genesis Debuts at #9”).

The Dabels also have Alpha and Omega:  Cry Wolf, based on the Mercy Thompson spin-off series by Briggs, at Ace (see “Dabels Do Ace Deal for Briggs”).

A Mercy Thompson film is in development (see “Mercy Thompson Novels Optioned”).
