Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist LeagueFor 14 and UndersPublished: 11/24/2009 10:52pm Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players under 14 years old will now be able to participate in low key, store-based league play just for them. Duelist League events run for two hours, with a $5 entry fee that entitles every player to a prize card. Each player gets three tickets at the start of the event, then wins a ticket from another player each time he or she wins a duel. Prize card choices are awarded based on the number of tickets; players who wash out by losing all their tickets receive a prize card at random.
Duelist League play is designed to show new players (and their parents) the fun of official events and teach them the nuances of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG play in a supervised environment.
Konami Digital Entertainment, makers of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, also supports regular league play for more experienced players (see “Konami Launches League Play”). |
