Warner Home Video has announced the February, 2010 release of Doctor Who: The Complete Specials, which includes the four specials that are the farewell to the popular tenth Doctor, David Tennant, and to writer/producer Russell T. Davies, who spearheaded the revival of Doctor Who in 2005.  The Complete Specials DVD has an MSRP of $49.98, while the Blu-ray has an MSRP of $59.98.

 

Doctor Who: The Complete Specials includes The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, Water of Mars, and The End of Time, Part 1 and Part 2.  The specials were seen in the U.S. on BBC America, which is now available in over 65 million American homes.  Guest stars in these Doctor Who Specials include Michelle Ryan, David Morrissey, Lindsay Duncan, John Simm, Timothy Dalton, Catherine Tate and Bernard Cribbins.

 

The set contains over seven hours of extras including “Doctor Who at the Proms,” a “Doctor Who Confidential” for each special, “David Tennant Video Diary—The Final Days,” “Doctor Who at Comic Con,” plus BBC idents, audio commentary, and deleted scenes.
