A PS3 version of the bestselling Settlers of Catan board game is headed for North America, according to Kotaku.  It based the report on the fact that the ESRB has granted an “E” rating for the title, with Japanese game developer Game Republic listed as the studio in the rating certificate.

The certificate does not include any details about the game, but it is expected that it will be similar to the Japanese version also developed by Game Republic and available in Japan since late 2008.  If so, it will be different from the Xbox Live Arcade version of the game.

No release date has been announced.
