Having filled out the roster of the New Avengers last Friday with the addition of The Thing, Marvel has begun to release information on a fourth post-SIEGE Avengers title, Avengers Academy, which will debut in June.  The new series, which will be written by Christos Gage with art by Mike McKone, will likely include members from The Initiative, New Warriors, and Young Avengers.

Although those of us with Marvel Encyclopedias immediately thought that the new Avengers Academy team member was related to Veil, the chemically-powered member of an Iraqi superteam known as Desert Sword, a mutant character who dates from the Desert Storm era of the first Iraq War, it appears that this is not the case since writer Christos Gage has noted via Twitter that this Veil “is a brand new character.”
