In late March, Wizards of the Coast will release the first small wave expansion for Heroscape featuring only Dungeons & Dragons content.  Called Heroscape D&D Assortment 1:  Champions of the Forgotten Realms, the expansion will feature characters and monsters from the long-running setting of Faerun.  This follows up the release of the new Master Set, HeroScape D&D Battle for the Underdark, earlier this year (see “D&D Meets Heroscape”). 

The expansion will include a total of twenty figures, packaged in four different non-random assortments of five figures each:

Warriors of the Ghostlight Fen:  includes a Fen Hydra, Sahuagin Ranger, and three Phantom Knights.

Fury of the Primordials:  includes Wyvern, Air Elemental, Earth Elemental, Fire Elemental, and Water Elemental.

Glaun Bog Raiders:  includes Greater Ice Elemental, three Greenscale Warriors, and Drow Chain Fighter.

Heroes of Faerun:  includes Cyclops, Drow Aracnomnancer, Elven Ranger, Battle Mage, and Dwarf Warlord.

Each package also includes stat cards for each figure and a new treasure token.  All figures are completely compatible with all existing Heroscape products.  They are packaged in a clamshell window box, and will have a suggested retail price of $12.99 each.

A countertop display unit is also available to display the expansion sets.
