The Maximum Ride movie that’s been in development at Columbia (see “Twilight Helmer Talking Maximum Ride”)  with Avi Arad and others producing is set to be picked up by Universal, according to Hollywood Reporter.  A new script by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Iron Man and Cowboys and Aliens) is being worked on.  Catherine Hardwicke (who directed Twilight) is still attached to direct.
